I'm Courtney Nguyen and I'm a freelance tennis writer and full-time culture consumer. This site is a work in progress.

I got my start as the blogger behind Forty Deuce, an irreverent and humorous blog about the nutty world of professional tennis. Most recently, I served as the Senior Writer for WTA Insider at wtatennis.com, the official website of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), until April 2025. I have also done radio hits and match commentary for NPR, the BBC, BBC World Service and various tennis tournaments, and podcast work on the WTA Insider Podcast and No Challenges Remaining. I spend the bulk of my year chasing Marriott points and killing time at airport lounges.
