Welcome to the "new" Forty Deuce

This was a long time coming.
If you're reading this post it means you were probably there with me from the beginning. Back before Twitter took over the tennisphere and those of us who loved the sport were confined to our little communities in the comment section of blogs like Forty Deuce, TennisWorld, and forums like TennisForums and Talk About Tennis. That's how we all found each other. And that's how, at least speaking for myself, we learned to let our tennis freak flags fly.
It's been years since I updated the old Forty Deuce cowbell site. This happened in the summer of 2011 and I've been puh-retty busy ever since. And I've been spoiled by my editors, who basically never say no to any idea I have. So I didn't ever need to post on FD. I got all my thoughts out elsewhere and it was all gravy.
None of that's changed. But maybe I have? As 2015 looms I want to make a concerted effort to do more writing that's just for me. Stupid crap, half-baked ideas, poorly executed experiments, whatever. FD literally started started because I got drunk one night and decided to write a bunch of stupid things on the internet. And look how that turned out. So I'm going to do my best to get back to that.
I don't know what exactly this new Forty Deuce will be. But I do know it will include:
- Some tennis musings.
- Lots of pop culture talk.
- Recommendations.
- Rants.
- Travelogues.
- Personal essays.
- Photos and videos
- Typos
And with that, let's rock and roll.
