Those were the days.
  • Graduated with a Political Science and Sociology double-major from the University of California, Irvine.
  • Continued to milk the UC system by graduating with a JD from the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law.
  • Was a corporate lawyer specializing in anti-trust, competition, and real estate law for seven years.
  • Quit the law to write about tennis.
  • Worked at the Women's Tennis Association as a Senior Writer for WTA Insider at wtatennis.com from August 2015 to March 2025.
  • Contributing writer for SI.com from 2011 to July 2015.
  • Has written about professional tennis for USA Today, Wimbledon.com, Tennishead magazine, and various tournament programs and websites. Samples can be found here
  • Provided on-air match commentary for the Australian Open (AO Radio), French Open (Radio RG), and BBC. Appeared as a guest on NPR, BBC World Service, and Slate's Hang Up and Listen podcast.
  • Host of the WTA's official podcast, WTA Insider Podcast
  • Co-hosted a weekly tennis podcast with Ben Rothenberg called No Challenges Remaining
  • Awarded 2019 Bud Collins Award by the International Tennis Writers Association.
  • Contributing editor to Racquet, a quarterly tennis magazine.
  • Tweets. A lot. Now on Bluesky.
  • One of the few tennis writers who can say they have successfully pitched a tent that survived a rainy night in the Wimbledon Queue.
